Diagnosis Module Functions
Creating New Records
To add a new record to the database click the New button. The
dialog below appears. Enter the exact code you want to use use
for the new record. The value here is used to search for duplicates.
Enter your description, too. If there is no matching code, a new record
is created.
Finding
Records
To find a code click on the Find
button. The dialog below appears. You can search using any of the
fields on
this dialog. Once you have entered your find request, click the Continue
button. To cancel the find, click the red close button at the upper
left
corner of the dialog (or if available the Cancel button).
If only one diagnosis is found, you will
be returned to the Entry screen. If more than one is found a
list
is created (see the example below). If none are found you can try again.
List View
To see a list of the current found
diagnoses click List View tab. Below is an example of the found
set of all diagnoses with the first three numbers "401". This list and
screen allows you to do the following:
- Sort the list by Code or
Description by clicking the underlined title
at the
top of that column.
- The New and Find buttons
work the same
- Click Print to print the
current list of diagnoses.
- The Int column indicates
the number of months typically between visits. It is the same field as Next Visit Interval for Diagnosis found on
the main screen.
- Here the field Slip is
associated with a Y and N button. If you want all the
diagnoses
in this list to appear on your properly formatted suuperbill in the Forms
Module than click Y. You can also check off one
at a time, too!
- The same idea applies to the field Pick
List . Each record can either be Y or N.
You can also quickly find all records flagged as being in your
pick list by clicking
the
icon above
the column.
- If a particular diagnosis is Not specific enough check the off field.
- To see an entire record, click the Click to view
button.
